I came across this mind trick which in my opinion is really a joke on the eyes which confuse the hemispheres of the brain because the colors and the words do not match. I've seen this before and I thought it would be nice to include the link on this site so you can get a kick out of it too. The image can be found here. Remember, try to say the color out loud, not the words that are written. Do this fast.

Darn, and I thought you had an explanation for the visual distortion. What's the Stroop effect? If you're not in the mood to write it out, I can look it up on Google.

see the above post for my opinion about the distortion. The stroop effect is just the name of the 'phenomenon' of mental processing of that exercise. I think it is named after the person who 'discovered' it. You can look it up. It just basically showed that it takes longer to name colors than read colors.
